At Sompo Japan DC Securities, we focus solely on offering defined contribution pension plan services. We are wholly owned by Sompo Japan Insurance, which considers the defined contribution pension business as a key strategic area. Defined contribution pension plan services along with non-life and life insurance, makes up the three core business segments of our parent company. Sompo Japan DC Securities was established in May 1999, preceding the enactment of the defined contribution pension legislation in Japan by over a year. As such, we were the first company in the nation to focus solely on defined contribution pension plans. We have been strong advocates of DC plans, while actively promoting and marketing these on a nationwide basis from the start. SJDC has been diligently improving and enhancing our defined contribution pension plan services, leveraging our company’s background and joint history with a major provider of 401(k) plans in the U.S. As a market leader, we provide end-to-end services from implementation to plan administration of Japanese corporate DC plans. Our bundled service model is based on integrated record-keeping and plan administration services, offering seamless and convenient service delivery. Our significant industry experience, defined contribution pension expertise and customer orientation has helped place SJDC at the top of customer satisfaction surveys conducted by independent third-party non-profit organizations.
